If we had to describe ourselves in one word, it would be very simple for us. We are thoroughly “outdoor people” in the broadest sense of the word. But who are we then? OutdoorOnly was set up by Patrick Heijmans: “I want to ensure that children (and their parents) go outside more often through my stories and videos. I hope to be able to achieve this through my enthusiasm”. Meanwhile, several other outdoor fanatics have joined us to tell their story too!
Our goal: Create nature areas
Our bigger goal is to help restore nature by, for example, purchasing meadows and planting indigenous shrubs and trees there. We would also like to see playgrounds created in a natural way where children can play and romp.
It is our mission to contribute to the restoration of biodiversity in the Netherlands in a simple way. We aim to make this as simple as possible and would like to involve as many people as possible in this important task. With various initiatives and activities we try to increase the diversity of plants and animals in our country.
Outdoor People
The term “outdoor people” is of course a very broad concept, but our permanent editorial team consists of people who are enthusiasts of a wide variety of outdoor activities such as rafting, hiking, sailing or walking. In addition, we have people in our editorial team who love camping in the most primitive way. You can safely call a wild camping safari in African countries such as Botswana or Tanzania an adventurous outdoor holiday.
Many outdoor holidays or other outdoor sports activities require a lot of preparation. For example, you want to be able to rely on your equipment and know what to expect. We sometimes come across people who could have enjoyed their outdoor experience more with just a little better preparation and that is of course a pity. This inspired us to set up this website.
OutdoorOnly is a website on which you will find a lot of practical information, but also a platform on which you can read many travel stories and be inspired by a wide variety of ideas. This platform is aimed at both holidays and other outdoor activities.
At OutdoorOnly we work with affiliate links, which means that we receive a commission from some links if you buy this product. You pay nothing extra for this. This allows us to maintain our site and we do not have to place advertisements on our site!
