So, with patience, you’ll soon learn when your fish like to bite. And, to get better patience you should ensure that you are comfortable. If you are fishing on land, get a nice comfortable chair to sit in and take some nice cold drinks if it’s going to be hot.

If your ice fishing, then warm drinks might be a better solution. Get some sunblock and bug spray, as you don’t want to be pushed off the water before your ready.

When choosing fishing bait, all fisherman with experience has their preference. However, for a beginner, start with local live bait. Even something as simple as a piece of hot dog has entertained kids for hours with great results. The real food has a nice smell and looks that the fish will spot and smell.

There are some simple equipment pieces that you’ll need to purchase. We are going to assume that you are not going after the huge Ocean Tuna or the Great Lakes Salmon on a Fishing vessel for these recommendations.  Those areas of fishing are quite different than smaller lakes, rivers and the ocean canals. For the smaller stuff, it is important that you get a license first. This is actually for all fishing.

The rules vary on these but your local bait shop or hunting and fishing supply store can help you out. Find a pole this is of good quality and appropriate size for the fish you’re going after. Some sinkers, hooks, and bobbers might also need to be purchased. As well as a small tool kit that has needle nose pliers and things to help pinch the sinkers together and pull the hooks from the mouths.

A nice set up with a comfortable chair and umbrella to keep the sun off. And, some bait, live is preferred. You can find this at the local bait shop.  And, they can even help you with what bait to use where. Bobbers, for example, are to keep the line at a certain depth, which no-bobber is for bottom feeder fish.  There are simple things that will ensure you have great new fun and exciting fishing hobby.
