Did you know taking some time in the outdoors can rejuvenate the soul? We are going to assume you did, since, you are on our amazing camping website. However, there is an opportunity all around you that are freeways or inexpensive ways to enjoy a good tent camping adventure. This can be with family, friends, or even alone.

Backyard Camping

The most adventurous soles can be found in the tents in the backyard.  Just kidding. It actually is just a nice way to get away, not spend a ton of cash, and enjoy the camping experience.  Put up your tent grab your bonfire pit and call some friends over. Or just enjoy your family. The kids will love it. It is certainly a nice way to break the kids into the idea as well.  Since some get scared or aren’t quite ready for the dirt and bugs that camping can bring. Should the senses get a bit overwhelmed it’s easy to head for home!

Teenagers and Middle Schoolers love backyard camping. It allows them that freedom of being away from mom and dad but not too far away that they can get into too much trouble.  And, it’s a great place for them to learn the tricks of making the most amazing campfire on their own. Or getting that marshmallow just right for the next s’more. There is some say in practice that makes perfect and backyard camping can do just that.

Backyard tent camping is great for adults as well.  Yep, you heard us right, camping in the backyard can be fun for adults.  Have some friends over for a grill out and drinks. This is a perfect combination for fun and relaxing all at one time.  Getting the adults to live it up a little and not have to worry about driving anywhere. And, as a bonus, there is a real bathroom, should someone not care to use the great outdoors.  The next morning the host could make up an amazing breakfast for everyone and everyone can recreate the convos of the night before.

Camping in your Basement

Yes, the same rules apply as in your backyard, however, this isn’t outdoors.  This is great for the winter months to have a small gathering of friends and roast marshmallows over a candle for your “s’more”. This too is a great option for kids that just want to get away with their own space. This can be as much as blanket forts but without all the mess on the main floor. Tents that don’t require staking like dome tents are certainly needed. But, grab your other camping gear and leave the bug spray upstairs, no need for it here.

Tents can provide kids with hours of fun. Let them either get outside and enjoy sleeping with nature or set up a tent in the basement or large room  But, the most important part is to relax and have fun.
