The United States is covered with beautiful landscaping. Our national parks are simply breathtaking and certainly places that you need to visit. These parks contain some of the very best lands that have been preserved for years. When you visit these great places, be sure that you take the time to clean up after yourself and stay on the trails or follow the rules of the park.
Many of our great parks are famous and we are certain you have heard of them. Make sure when you do take the time to go that you spend enough time there to really get to see everything it has to offer. These parks can be really huge and taking the time to explore is essential, especially if it is a long drive.
Yellowstone National Park – Wyoming
Yellowstone national park is full of wonder. There are massive waterfalls, amazing hiking trails and encounters with nature all around you. There is even a supervolcano in the park! You will find water shooting geysers and amazing hot springs that are all kinds of colors from the bacteria that live in them. This famous park is simply packed with amazing natural sites. And, there is even a museum there that you can read about the history of the park.
Rocky Mountain National Park – Colorado
Rocky mountain national park is breathtaking, to say the least. This is a park that is full of mountains, trails, wildflowers, and trees. Here you can hike for hours and enjoy the sights and sounds of this amazing forest. If you enjoy mountain climbing and more advanced hiking, this is the park for you.
Death Valley National Park
Death Valley national park is a great park that has completely different landscaping than the parks previously mentioned. In this park, you will not find a bunch of trees. In fact, the only actual trees there were planted around the buildings. If you stand on Dante’s view you can see the highest and lowest point in the contiguous US. There really isn’t another place like it and it certainly is something that you need to see.
Mammoth Cave National Park – Kentucky
This is an amazing national park that is again, unique to itself. Here you will find the longest known cave systems in the world. Here you can see the caves first hand by going on a cave tour. These systems of passageways are amazing to see in person. Take your time to hike around and there are even horseback trails and biking trails as well. If you are looking to see some of the wonders of the world, head out and get a look at these caves.
So, as you can see, our national parks are completely different from one another. It is as if they picked the very best nature had to offer to make our amazing national park system. We love visiting national parks whenever we have the time. Many of them have their very own campgrounds and have campgrounds near and around them that will work as well.
